OVERVIEW
Climate Policy Lab Mission
The Climate Policy Lab’s mission is to determine which climate policies work, which don’t, and why.
Work With Sequoia
The Climate Policy Lab was established in 2016 to support countries in implementing the Paris Agreement and to advance knowledge about climate policy itself. Since then, CPL has actively partnered with more than a dozen governments and collaborated with policy think tanks around the world. CPL is housed in the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP) at The Fletcher School, Tufts University, and comprises an extensive network of government officials, scholars, and policy experts who participate in the work of climate policy analysis through project-specific study teams and comparative study.
With Sequoia’s support, CPL is partnering with ten different governments – through research, executive education, and knowledge sharing – on supporting the range of new policy reforms or new sectoral policy initiatives that have been tried or should be tried to bend the emissions curve, aligned with government-announced priorities. This work promotes greater ambition for nationally determined commitments (NDCs) and underlying implementation strategies.
