ECF MISSION
Operating at the intersection of policy, politics, and people, the European Climate Foundation’s (ECF) objective is to decarbonize economies and societies. In addressing the emission of all greenhouse gasses, it works to limit warming and to secure climate action by 2030 consistent with a just transition to net zero by 2050.
WORK WITH SEQUOIA
ECF is dedicated to responding to the global climate crisis by creating a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions society. They harness the power of effective philanthropy to support the climate community in shaping public debate and forging bold solutions. Enabling and collaborating with a broad network of grantees and partners at the European, national, and international levels, ECF and its grantees are at the forefront of a global movement to ensure a livable planet for future generations.
The Sequoia Climate Foundation supports ECF with both general operating support and funding for cross-cutting campaigns and international programs, including work to advance the European Green Deal. Recognizing the significance of Europe in moving global climate action, Sequoia’s partnership with the ECF aims to build capacity in an ecosystem of partners and climate actors.
